Benzoic acid is in white flake, crystal, or powder. It has a mild benzoic or benzyl aldehyde odor. It begins to sublimate at 100ºC.
It's hard to dissolve in water but soluble in boiling water, alcohol, chloroform and ether. Benzoic acid is stable in air.

PRODUCT FEATURES

Benzoic acid  C7H6O2 (or C6H5COOH), is a colorless crystalline solid and the simplest aromatic carboxylic acid. The name derived from gum benzoin, which was for a long time the only source for benzoic acid. Its salts are used as a food preservative and benzoic acid is an important precursor for the synthesis of many other organic substances. The salts and esters of benzoic acid are known as benzoates.

1. Benzoic acid is mainly used for antifungal and disinfection antiseptic.

4. It can be used as a cream with the sweet, and also can be used for chocolate, lemon, orange, berries, nuts, candied fruit flavour. It also commonly used in cigarette flavoring.
