PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Sodium hydrosulfide is the chemical compound with the formula NaHS. This compound is the product of the half neutralization of hydrogen sulfide with sodium hydroxide. NaHS is a useful reagent for the synthesis of organic and inorganic sulfur compounds, sometimes as a solid reagent, and more often as an aqueous solution. Solid NaHS is colorless and typically smells like H2S due to hydrolysis by atmospheric moisture. In contrast with sodium sulfide, Na2S, which is insoluble in organic solvents, NaHS, being a 1:1 electrolyte, is more soluble. Alternatively, in place of NaHS, H2S can be treated with an organic amine to generate an ammonium salt. Solutions of HS− are sensitive to oxygen, converting mainly to polysulfides, indicated by the appearance of yellow.

PRODUCT USAGE

It is used as intermediates in organic synthesis, as additives in the manufacture of sulfide dyes, in the depilation and tanning of hides, and in the dressing of copper ores
 
Purpose dye industry for the synthesis of organic intermediates and the preparation of sulfur dyes as additives. Leather industry is used for dehairing and tanning of raw leather, and also for wastewater treatment. Fertilizer industry is used to remove monomer sulfur from activated carbon desulfurizer. It is the raw material for manufacturing semi-finished products of ammonium sulfide and ethylmercaptan. The mining industry is widely used for copper ore dressing. Artificial fiber used in the production of sulfite dyeing and other aspects.
 
It is used as intermediates of various organic products and auxiliary agent of sulfide dyestuff. It is also used for desulfurization of leather, slime silk and chemical fertilizer and pesticide production
